Patriotic Productions is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to honor our military service-members, past and present. Our focus is on preserving cherished memories and recording stories for future generations of those who died fighting for America. We do that by creating traveling photo exhibits and holding events open to veterans, their families, and the public. |

![]() Winging it with Dave Wingert!
Jul 18, 2023
Born a cute, Jewish baby in New York City.
First five years lived in the attic of his Grandmother’s house in Bensonhurst (Brooklyn). Moved to McKeesport, Pa. (7 miles from Pittsburgh) where Dave grew into an angst-filled teen who colleges at Ohio University. Minored in Theater. Majored in Broadcasting (that’s an verrrrrry interesting story on its own…he’d be happy to share over coffee). And that, Ladies and gentlemen, has (more or less) been Wingy’s professional agenda these past 52 years. Along the way, Wingy has actually been paid to “play” on-air for a dozen or so radio stations in Seattle, Kansas City, Des Moines and The Big O. About 20 years ago, while in Seattle hosting a nationally syndicated , coast-to-coast radio show Dave Til Dawn, he was inducted into the Nebraska Broadcasters Association as a “Legendary Radio Personality”. He’s celebrated his other passion, theater, on-stage in those cities. Most recently having performed the role of Max in “The Sound of Music” (along with a 19 piece orchestra..>WITH harp) at the Rose Theater. Before that, Dave’s previous 5 roles were onstage at the prestigious Blue Barn Theater. In 2014, Dave won multiple awards (outstanding lead actor in a musical) for playing “Man in Chair” in “The Drowsy Chaparone” at the Omaha Playhouse. After having been on just about every radio station in Omaha, Wingy says he’s never had as much soul-satisfying fun as he is having hosting mornings on locally and
family-owned Boomer Radio the past 6 years. He credits his emotional support and friendship with GM Pat Combs and owner Steve and Sue Seline. In July Wingy was inducted into the Press Club’s Industry Hall Of Fame.
