Can the first month of the new year be over with already? 
 
We have a hat trick of speakers coming up.  Do you know where the term originated?  According to Wikipedia, its the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three.  But that doesn't say why it's called a hat trick. If you keep reading, the first use of the term came from a cricket match when someone scored three wickets with three consecutive deliveries (whatever that means), but the fans held a collection and presented him a with a hat they bought with the proceeds.  That's good enough for me, and I'd like to tip my hat to Darcy for coming up with three speakers - at least one is also potential members.
