NOTICE: Omaha Night Rotary Club has suspended our in person meetings through at least January 5, 2021
It's a new year!
So what opportunities do you want to have this year?  Remember, the more you put into Rotary, the more you get out of it.  Let's get some extra energy going and make that extra effort to give a little and yes, even take a little from Rotary.
It was so great being a part of the text string and being able to cheer as Dave M. announced that his wife is finally getting better.  That's part of taking from Rotary - we can all use that extra lift.
I hope to see you at the meeting online Tuesday night - our speakers will be through Zoom, so we are planning at least one last zoom meeting.  But how do you feel about meeting face-to-face again?  Use the button below to vote -- I'll announce the results at the meeting.
District Project: Virtual Food Drive
Are you willing to help in the District Virtual Food Drive?  We'll talk about this at the meeting on Tuesday, but you can also find out more in the story on the website.  Let me know if you have other questions about this project.
Question of the Week
I gotta ask - did you make a new year's resolution?
Weekly Program - Jan 5 - Climate Change
Tracy Stanko from the Citizens' Climate Education group will talk about Climate Change on how it is impacting Nebraska and what you can do to help.  [CCE is a non-partisan organization, so the focus is on respectful conversation and citizen cooperation. (Just like Rotary!)]
Rescheduled from November 17th meeting to January 5th.
Weekly Program-Feb 2
Our speaker for our meeting on February 2nd will be Stephanie Olson, CEO of the Set Me Free Project.  This is an amazing project based here in the Omaha since 2015; their mission is to bring preventative education to youth and families to stop trafficking before it starts. Find out more on their website at
Rotary Virtual Food Drive
Our Rotary District (5650) is joining with the District 5630 in Western Nebraska for a Virtual Food Drive supporting Food Bank for the Heartland.  Food insecurity is such a problem right now - not only because of the weather, but because of the pandemic.  This project will benefit families throughout Nebraska and western Iowa.  Double your impact! Our District is matching donations up to $12,000Click here to donate or read more below.
